Project CONNECT
This early intervention program is designed to locate, identify, and serve eligible pre- school students from three (3) years old to school age. The project provides screening, direct diagnosis, information, referrals, education, and parent counseling. CONNECT is staffed by personnel trained in special education, speech, hearing, vision, occupational therapy, physical therapy, school psychology, and social work. Through Project CONNECT, the CLIU provides classes for preschool eligible children from three to five years of age in both Carbon and Lehigh Counties. Other special services are available on an itinerant basis, and through consultation with area agencies and nursery schools.
