| Rules & Eligibility |
|
| Participation is open to any student enrolled: |
- In grades 1-5 - One entry per category, per grade level, per school
- Grade 1-3 ? Showcase Only
- Grades 4-5 ? Showcase and Judged
- In a public or private school
- In a state-approved home-school program
- Within the geographic boundaries served by a sponsoring intermediate unit

- A student may submit an individual project and a group project, however a school team may only submit one project.
- Projects may be submitted by individuals or groups (up to three students each).
- All projects must be approved by the sponsoring teacher. A faculty advisor/sponsor must be identified. The faculty advisor/sponsor will be responsible for accompanying students during the regional competitions. All communication will be provided through the sponsoring teacher.
- The faculty advisor/sponsor will register projects online for participation in their regional competition.
