CAPE - Center for Advancing Partnerships in Education
CAPE is a consortium of primarily small and medium-sized educational and other institutions. We support the efforts of member institutions to transform themselves through collaboration in the emerging global 'electronic neighborhood.' If you are a non-member visiting to get acquainted or someone from an institution seeking a better understanding of CAPE's mission and services, we suggest starting with our Executive Director's welcome.
History
CAPE was founded in 1993 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is governed by a Board of 17 Directors elected to serve 3-year terms. There are currently 120+ member institutions including public and private colleges, universities, community colleges, school districts, intermediate units, medical schools and hospitals, museums and community-based organizations.
Mission
To create alliances by supporting partnerships and by using technology in imaginative ways to promote educational, cultural and economic opportunities and strengthen communities.
